Hey were does the fuel pump located at on a 91 honda civic sedan?is it in the fuel tank?

im having problems with my car ..if i push the gas paddle all the way the car will push back and forth..so i went to get it checked out and dumb mechanics dont know ****..so i ask my buddy and he said it was the fuel pump and its somewere in by the fuel tank or inside it..and i ask my mother inlaw bf and he said it might be inside the tank or under it ..so i dont really know were is located at ...and if its the fuel pump doing all that? i change the fuel filter.spark plugs twice bec they said that i put them wrong anf they changed it and did that same ****.now they say its the diizzy now thats ****** up and im not falling for that crap i KNOW its the fuel pump..
