Anyway, it would be cheaper if you rented an apartment instead of a hotel room. You can find very nice apartments with a view of the sea, but nothing for 30 pounds a night though. If you go to Alexandria and ask for a "simsar", you will find several who will be able to show you several apartments within the price range you specify, and you can choose whatever suits your needs. Apartments are cheaper to rent during this period of time, because of the exams. Prices soar once the summer holidays begin. A tip: while you are in Alex go to Mohamed Ahmed and try their fool and ta3miya. It's very cheap and yummy! They have a picture of the queen of Spain eating there hanging on the wall! Best wishes.
