I'm about to produce a pantomime - has anyone got any ideas on how I can make Aladdin's carpet fly?

I am producing the amateur pantomime in a local village hall. Resources and cash are limited...I need some inspiration! For those not familiar with the story, Aladdin is rescued from a cave by a genie, and together they fly on a magic carpet out of the cave. I need to try and replicate it!!
