Why do Conservatives support the stimulus package?
We support tax break/taxcuts. That's basically what this is...........a tax cut. I am a conservative who DOESN'T support this because we aren't even in a recession. A recession is just two declining quarters of GDP and we haven't even had ONE. In fact, the numbers just came out for this quarter and GDP grew by .7%. The libs and media love using these economic scare tacticts. The reason GDP hasn't increased as much as it should is because stupid people bought houses they KNEW they couldn't afford if the rates went up. They tried to live beyond their means and now we are all suffering because of their slefish stupidity. I do not believe in the government playing a role in capitalist markets. These people messed up and we need to let the system take the hit. A capitalist market will rebound naturally. This stimulus package is a band-aid and won't help. But back to your original question. Conservatives like it because it is basically a tax cut. And they complain about people getting tax cuts because they DONT pay taxes as it it.
